Gibbs happy mail swap!

I have met some of the nicest people on the cricut messageboard.  There is a small group of us that have continued to swap together (each month sending someone a handmade item off of their wishlist).  I sent Tracy a handmade address book and an altered notebook.  The paper I used is DCWV Mariposa - this is such a pretty paper stack - I simply love it!

We had an amazing time!

We made it home safely from our 5 year anniversary cruise!  We sailed for 5 days out of Norfolk, VA to the Bahamas - it is so BEAUTIFUL there and I am simply in love with the cruising experience!

Tilda with straw hat

I am loving the square cards...I just keep finding myself coming back to them.  I made this card for my chemo buddy.  The image is from Magnolia - Tilda with straw hat.  I kept the card neutral - using kraft cardstock as my foundation.  I had some lace trim in my stash that fit just perfectly.  I used my Martha Stewart - punch around the page punch for for the larger mat.  Pearl swirl & mini roses are made by recollections.  Image is colored with copics.

Yes....you guessed it!  Another beautiful image by Elisabeth Bell!  This stamp (Daydreaming peeker) is part of a peeker collection of stamps.  They are all so cute - I am sure I will eventually break down and get them all.  I made this card for my sister, who has made the difficult decision to quit working to go back to school.

A fairy good rest....

Keeping true with my love of Elisabeth Bell's images - I was simply in awe when I saw her new fairy images for Belles 'n Whistles  I just can't get enough of them.  This one is called fairy good rest.

I colored the image with copics.  Paper is from scraps from my stash.  Thanks so much for looking!

Secret Sister Swap

Recently I was in a swap on the Cricut message board and had the wonderful opportunity to create some items for a lady that I have come to know over the last year.  I created a Paris themed box for her.  I am hoping she likes what I made her half as much as I do! 

I purchased this clock from dollar general for $4.00 and took it apart and altered the background with designer paper, some Paris Cricut cuts, prima flowers and scrabble letters.

I found this address book on clearance at K-mart and I altered it with Graphic 45 paper, a recollections rose and pearls.  I simply love how this book turned out.

This wreath was one of the projects that took me the longest.  I made each paper rose by hand and then hot glued them onto a wooden wreath.  I added ribbon and a vintage button.

I love making personalized candles!  I used some Tim Holtz stamps to create this one.  I found a base at the dollar tree to which I added some ribbon and a iamroses.com flower.

This weeks Fashionista Friday challenge over at the "Shoe" is black & white with a primary color.  I could not wait to color a black and white image with a bold pop of red.  Image colored with copics (W00-W9 and R29, R27, and R24)  I used some white puffy paint on the socks and bow for some added dimension.

Magnolia Circus Horse

Over the last year I have been in more than my fair share of image swaps and this past weekend I had some time to sort through the massive stack that I have accumulated.  When I came across the Magnolia Circus Horse  image I just knew I had to color it up.
