Sweet Friend

I made this card with another image that I got from Mo's Digital Pencil - her images are amazing and really makes me want to bring out my copics!  I colored this image in in black skin tones but this stamp is so versatile that it could be used for a variety of ethnicities.

The paper used for the card is stampin' up!  I really lucked out by having a coordinating paper, as I made this card backwards, having colored it before I had my papers picked out!  I have no plans for this card yet - but I am sure that it will get used up as I have so many wonderful friends!

Thanks for looking everyone!

Thinking of you card

This is a card that I made to for a family of one of my patients that recently died of cancer.  She was 5 years old and such a beautiful spirit.  Although we were not supposed to have favorites (she was one of my favorites).  She makes the third death this week at work and it has been hard this week, but my unit is amazing at supporting each other.

This picture is of Tiana two years ago when she was the kid picked for a local grocery store for our round up for cancer campaign.  I still smile when she walked around the unit signing autographs.

A little black magic

When I found this tutorial on youtube I could not wait to try this technique.  I dusted off my watercolor pencils and got to work.  This technique is very simple but the results are amazing.

  1. Stamp your image onto dark cardstock (I used black) with white ink (I used stazon) and allow it to dry.
  2. Color the image with your watercolor pencils and ta-da - Beautiful image!!
