Live-Laugh-Love

I had so much making these for a girl I met on the Cricut messageboard.  I made a stationary box that had a drawer.  I added an easel card to to the top with a calendar.  Inside the drawer I put a altered pen, some stick pens and a small altered journal.  This definitely seems like something I will be making more of!

Happy Birthday Kimi!

I have had the great pleasure of getting to know an amazing lady & crafter from the Cricut MB named Kimi!  Today is her birthday and I had to make her a duplicate of one of the cards I had done previously on my blog (because she loved it) ;) awwww!  Also, she has suffered, like many of us are, with Michaels clearancing out their pearls so I am enabling her with the pearl pen that I simply love love love!

Happy Birthday Kimi!

Topiary Stick Pin Cushion

This weeks Fashionista Friday challenge over at "The Shoe" is to use distress ink, flowers and bling!

I have completely fallen in love with stick pins and have tons of them (either that I made or from swaps) and need a decorative place to house them all.  Actually this one is for a swap - but I am in desperate need of something like this for myself.  I made the topiary using a small Styrofoam ball and I used hot glue to attach some paper roses (from iamroses.com).  I used homemade glimmermist made with perfect pearls and distress ink reinker (tattered rose).

The stick is actually 6 12" wooden skewers glued together and wrapped in ribbon.  The base is another small Styrofoam ball wrapped in batting.  Using a grommet tool I made a hole in a 4x4 square of fabric that I had on hand and then attached a grommet to keep the hole open and prevent the fabric from fraying.  The fabric is then wrapped around the batting/styrofoam ball and secured with a few hand stitches.

The pail is from Michael's and I attached the pin cushion with some hot glue.  I added a ribbon bow and a large white pearl.  I simply love how it turned out.

Stop on by "The Shoe" and play along this week!

Butterfly Kisses

I recently purchased the sizzix bigz butterfly #2 die and right away I knew that it would be perfect for this weeks fashionista friday at If the shoe fits.....scrap it!  This weeks challenge is to use March's birthstone - Aquamarine.  I layered the butterfly with light blue card stock and vellum and then ran them both through the cuttlebug using the devine swirls folder.  The designer paper used is DCWV Sweet stack.

Graphic 45 clock & address book

I have been having so much fun makin clocks out of paper mache boxes!  The are so cute to sit on a shelf and also serve as some added storage.  I finally cut my G45 Romantique paper (only held onto it for months - ha ha).  I omitted the clock face from this clok - simply adding pearls at the 12, 3, 6 & 9 hours - I wanted to the paper to speack for itself.   I also made an address book out of the same cardstock that I simply love - it is so true that the cardstock definitely makes the project ROCK!
