Chemo Buddy - Fighter T-shirt

I made this t-shirt for my chemo buddy who us currently fighting Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  I just wanted to send her something personalized to wear to chemo treatments.  I used the butterfly wings & antennae from the Disney Hannah Montana Cricut cartridge.  I cut the ribbon & the word fighter using the Make-the-cut software.

Call me anytime...

I made this card for a friend of mine who's mother is battling breast cancer again.  I used the From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge for my weekly challenge for the collector's cut.  I cut the retro phone at 4.25" on shiny black paper.  Card stock, bling & ribbon are all from my stash.

My cartridge for next weeks challenge is......Indie Art.  This is one that I got free on the Gypsy and I am excited to use it this week.

Copic Mini Journal

Losing weight, using my current stash of supplies and getting organized - those were my New Year's resolutions.  So far so good on all 3.  I have lost 6 pounds so far (even though I wish I would craze apples instead of cheeseburgers - ha ha).  I have joined several challenges that have helped my use my current supply of paper, bling, ribbon, Cricut cartridges, etc.

I had previously made one of these journals for a girl in a swap on the cricut message board - but as I sifted through all the loose pages I had on copic data - color charts, favorite color combos, skin tones, hair colors, etc. it was clear that I needed one of these for myself.  I used the inserts from the copic munkie blog.  Now I can file all those papers away in the trash and be one step closer to organized.

Diaper Cake & New Arrival Card

A friend of mine was going to a baby shower and asked me to make a diaper cake for her to take.  I love making these, they are so cute.  I made a card to go along with it using the New Arrivals Cricut cartridge - good thing I picked that cartridge this week for the Collector's Cut blog.  I kept it really simple - running the cute outfit through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder for texture.  I used papers from DCWV Sweet Stack.

My challenge cartridge for next week is......From My Kitchen!  Check back next Sunday to see what I do with that Cart.

Stamped candle

I am loving this technique.  It is sooooo simple.  I followed the technique at splitcoast stampers found here
The bird stamp that I used is from the Tim Holtz collection.  The sentiment stamp is one I had in my stash.  It says: Create.  Follow your heart.  Inspiration will find you.  Find your heart, be yourself.

I joined a stick pin swap on the Cricut message board and I have to say that these are simply addicting.  These are so much fun & easy to make.....oh and cheaper than what I had paid so something similar at the store.

I flipped back and forth through the booklet to this cartridge and had several ideas of projects to do - but this is one of those carts that has all those itty bitty pieces that I am sure that you all love!  So I settled on a Valentine's Day card for my nephew.

Bubbles cut at 2"

Confessions of a scrapaholic!

Okay....I admit it.  I have been crafting for a little over a year and in that time I have grown from crafting on a small desk with a Cricut Expression and 6 cartridges to having a craft room lined with JetMax cubes to house all the craft items that I just had to have based on a technique that I saw on the Cricut messageboard, Splitcoaststampers or youtube.  I have also built up my Cricut cartridges from 6 to 110 - not just 110, but probably 100 unused cartridges that were ordered at an amazing deal on Ebay, delivered to my house, linked to my Gypsy (which I also acquired this year), filed away and......well that's it.  Sad but true - the cartridge that I just had to have right?  Hmmmm, I also dove into the life of copics and fell in love with digi stamps, rubber stamps, and wooden stamps.

But guess what?  I am not alone in this - I hear that there are others just like me!  A group of girls that I have crafted with on the Cricut message board have put together a blog called the 'The Collector's Cut' and they are challenging one another to use up the cartridges that they too - just had to have.  I decided to play along with this group of very insiring ladies and see if I can make use of the cartridges that I have "collected" over the past 15 months.

I will be using random.org to pick a number between 1 and 110 to choose a cartridge and will make an item using that cartridge and post that item each Sunday.  The cartridge chosen for this week is 84 - SpongeBob!  Wow - guess I need to think of a project to do for my nephew as he was the reason for this cart - lol!

Check back on Sunday to see what I created!
